Conference on "The Media and the Radical Right", 19 November, features CMCS panelist
The Center for EU Enlargement Studies (CENS) at CEU and the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, are organizing a conference on "The Media and the Radical Right" on Monday, November 19.
The conference will take place from 11 AM to 3 PM, in the Popper Room, Monument Building, Nador u. 9, and it is open to the public.
The conference will encompass two sessions and a roundtable discussion afterward. The first session, called "The radical right and the media. Theoretical aspects", will be chaired by Péter Balázs, Director of CENS and former Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs, and feature Paul Jackson (University of Northampton, Radicalism and New Media Research Group) Anton Shekovtsov (Radicalism and New Media Research Group), and Fabian Virchow (University of Dusseldorf)
The second session, "Media, public speech and the radical right in Hungary" will be chaired by Fabian Virchow and feature Péter Molnár of the CMCS, as well as Áron Szele (CENS) and Ferenc Hammer (ELTE, Media and Communications Department).
