Dragomir's New Column for The Times

CMDS director Marius Dragomir has a new column written for The Times. In the piece published on November 2, "Free media are under assault in the heart of Europe" (available to subscribers) Dragomir warns about the more and more alarming prevalence of threats against journalists in Central Eastern Europe. As Dragomir writes: "The risk to those who strive to expose corruption and hold power to account exists not only in authoritarian regimes. It has become unprecedentedly grave right in the heart of Europe, often in countries where liberty flowered after the fall of the Soviet Union, but is now in alarming retreat."
