The Media Influence Matrix Expands to Latin America
We are happy to announce that Montevideo-based think tank Observacom has joined the Media & Power Research Consortium to expand the Media Influence Matrix to Latin America.
Observacom, the Latin American Observatory of Regulation, Media and Convergence, is a regional, non-profit, professional and independent think tank. Founded in 2015, it specializes in regulation and public policies related to the media, telecommunications, internet and freedom of expression. It is made up of experts and researchers committed to the protection and promotion of democracy, cultural diversity, human rights, and freedom of expression in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Work on the MIM: Argentina report has already started, conducted by a team composed of Guillermo Mastrini, Carla Repetto, Martín Razzetto from Universidad Nacional de Quilmes (Research Program in Cultural Industries and Public Space).
Observacom is planning in the first stage to open the Mexico and Colombia chapters in the project.
