Explore the Government-Friendly Media Empire in Hungary

CMDS fellow Attila Bátorfy has created a data visualization for Átlátszó.hu about the changes in Hungarian media ownership and the growth of the government-friendly media empire in Hungary, which now includes more than 500 publications. Click through the infographic below to see how this empire has grown this huge.

Bátorfy compiled the list using the database of print and online outlets of the national media and telecommunications authority (NMHH, Nemzeti Média- és Hírközlési Hatóság). He also added a list of TV and radio channels and companies selling advertising space on billboards.
