We are looking for inquisitive students interested in investigating who’s who in media, politics and technology. They will mostly work on the Media Influence Matrix, a comparative research project that CMDS launched in January 2018. The project is run by the Media & Power Consortium, a community of 40 partner organizations from all over the world. The first country report in the research has been published on Slovakia, and selected interns will have the opportunity to join ongoing research on the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Russia, Georgia, Armenia, Moldova, Turkey or Jordan. More countries will be added.
Interns will gain experience in data and information collection, writing of analytical reports and policy recommendations and dissemination of research findings. At the same time, they will get acquainted with the operation of an international academic center.
Main tasks include
- Collection of information and data about financial performance of companies, ownership of technology and media companies, influencers in governments and regulatory authorities
- Drafting and revising of reports
- Preparing and updating databases
- Arranging interviews with media and technology companies and policymakers
- Other tasks depending on current projects and events.
The duration of the internship will be agreed upon with CMDS.
