Jozef Michal Mintal

Jozef is an assistant professor in the Department of Security Studies at Matej Bel University, co-founder and co-director of the UMB Data&Society Lab, and Fellow at the Center for Media, Data and Society at Central European University. He was educated at Matej Bel University and King's College London. His IBM-funded PhD, in International Relations, was awarded in 2020. Jozef’s research focuses on international cyberpolitics, particularly on the international relations/security aspects of digital media and of cyberspace as a whole. Prior to academia, he worked in NGOs in the fields of foreign and security policy and innovation.
