Join CMDS in Building a Directory of Legal Aid Resources for European Journalists

The School of Public Policy's Center for Media, Data and Societys (CMDS) and the Center for Media Pluralism and Freedom (CMPF) at European University Institute are developing a database of legal aid resources for European journalists. We invite domestic and international organizations and entities that provide legal, financial and advocacy support services to European journalists facing legal challenges to join us in building this resource. Our aim is to develop a valuable, open-access directory for journalists, NGOs, lawyers and other stakeholders to access information on the types of legal aid services available to journalists in Europe, as well as to strengthen the network of legal support for European journalists facing legal challenges as a result of their reporting and publishing activities.

We are asking domestic and international NGOs, journalist associations, pro-bono clearing houses, private law firms and lawyers that provide legal, financial and advocacy support services for European journalists facing legal challenges, and that wish to be listed in our directory, to submit the form provided on our website. Each organization is responsible for providing accurate and updated information on what types of services they provide.

This initiative is part of a European Commission-supported 'Strengthening Journalism in Europe' project organized by the School of Public Policy's Center for Media, Data and Society (CMDS) and the Center for Media Pluralism and Freedom at the European University Institute in Florence.
